I have vast experience in hospital medicine in different specialties including most of medical specialties at medical registrar level. You do not want a locum who leaves extra work for the partners to do, or who fails to record data for QOF, or whose clinics regularly over-run. I make clear notes so that another doctor seeing that patient will understand what I have done and why and my suggested management plan. At the same time I am careful not to tie the next doctor’s hands with a particular strategy. My clinics usually run on time, thus minimizing complaints at reception and increase patient satisfaction.

I am familiar with most of computer systems we use in surgeries. I adapt quickly to computer systems and make a habit of recording QOF data and tidying up medication and problem lists on systems that allow this.
